Homeschoolers Thrive at Franciscan University
For decades, homeschooled students have made a successful transition to college life at Franciscan University of Steubenville. In fact, over 15 percent of each year’s freshman class comes from a homeschooling family.
Many are attracted to Franciscan’s long-standing reputation for integrating authentic Catholic values into its curriculum, residence halls, and athletic programs.
Franciscan’s theology program is the largest in the country. Other popular majors include nursing, biology, business, communication arts, English, philosophy, history, and education—over 40 in all. The low 15-to-1 student-teacher ratio is a good fit for homeschoolers and the popular faith-households, where students join small faith-sharing groups, help them adjust to living away from home.
